Do I need a special electrician to install an EV charger?

Yes. EV charger installation must be done by a Registered Electrician, who will issue a Certificate of Compliance. We only connect you with electricians, not unqualified installers.

Is using Home Charger NZ free?

Yes, it is free for EV owners. We may share your details with relevant local installers so they can quote you. You are never obligated to accept a quote.

Are the installer listings in your directory verified?

Some directory listings are marked Unclaimed — these are compiled from public information and are not endorsements. We only ever pass your quote enquiry to verified installers who have claimed their profile, never to unclaimed listings.
